Are you about to restore your oral health and smile by replacing a missing tooth with a dental bridge? If so, good for you! Our dentist, Dr. Bertha Bravo, is excited to give you the top-notch oral health and smile you deserve. To help you prepare for your appointment so you can eliminate some dental nerves, she is happy to list the treatment steps involved, which are:

Step No. 1: Your dentist will make sure you are comfortable during your appointment by numbing the mouth, especially the anchoring teeth and the surrounding gums. Next, she will shave a little bit of the tooth enamel from the anchoring teeth to make room for the dental crowns that are crafted into the bridge.

Step No. 2: When the teeth are the perfect size and shape, your dentist will take impressions of the mouth and will send those impressions to a dental lab. There, lab technicians will make your dental bridge using that information. While you wait for your bridge to be made, your dentist will cover the anchoring teeth with temporary dental crowns.

Step No. 3: After your bridge is made and sent to our office, you will come in for your follow-up appointment. At this time, your dentist will use special dental cement to secure the dental bridge over the anchoring teeth.
